Successful shopping trip!?

Raise your hand if you like shopping...
Raise your hand if when you finally have money when you shop you can't find anything!
Lucky for me I found this dress last-minute on one of those disappointing shopping trips.

I bought it at Forever 21 a couple weeks ago for $25. I would have worn it earlier but due to me being lazy and not ironing it for two weeks this is the first time I've worn it. Forever 21 is always changing their stock so you can't go in there twice and see the same thing, I knew when I saw this dress I had to have it because I knew I wouldn't see it again.
I'm obsessed with collars. If there's a collar on a shirt there's a 89% chance that I'll buy it. So when this dress had a collar on it I was all over it like flies on dog poop. I also liked the shape/style of it. I love the 40's/50's/60's style dresses so anytime I see one in the store I must try it on. I have a couple floral print 50's style dresses that are my go-to dresses. If I need to be casual I can wear them, but with the right shoes and accessories I can easily turn it into formal wear. And as with my floral dresses this dress can be formal/causal as well. Today I'm wearing it to a job interview hoping I look presentable and hire-able. I also paired it with a simple belt to extenuate my waist, otherwise the dress kinda hangs funny and gives me no shape whatsoever.
Peach is such a nice color that's trending this season, I was never into pinks or peaches but I see now that the color is all over and there's no way of avoiding it. Maybe my eyes have seen it so much they're just used to it now, either way this color screams "happy" and "spring". I love it.
You can't see in the picture but I have on gladiator sandals that go with the whole "summer has finally arrived" look and "can you see tan lines from when I wear my tennis shoes in the sun!?" look.
What's your favorite summer trend?

Bunny Nails!

Who says you can't have bunnies on your nails even if the Easter season has long since passed (even though I'm still munching on jelly beans...)?
I, for one, am never opposed to bunnies on my nails. And neither should you.
For this simple mani all you need is white polish, pink polish, a black polish, a dotting tool, a small brush, and five (or one or how ever many you want) pastel colors. And of course you don't need pastel colors, go crazy with neons if you wish. I wish I could name the colors and or relocated them in my mess of polishes, but sadly I cannot. I do know that some are Sally Hanson (the purple for sure), the white is from Sinful Colors (not the best brand, but I like their formulas), and maybe one of the blues is from Salon Perfect (again, not a high end brand but a good formula). Sorry I couldn't be of more help in that department.
Since I can do this mani is must mean it's not too complicated so surely you can do it also!! Remember to steady your painting hand on a flat surface or have a friend/sister/whoever help you with this design :) don't get discouraged if it doesn't turn out the first time. If at first you don't succeed,  try and try again.

Multi-color Polkadot nails (and my first blog post!!)

Hello guys!!!!!
Welcome to my first ever blog post! Instead of saying a bunch of boring stuff about me I'll just get on with it and stop dilly-dallying.
So today I have a polka-dot mani for you all :):) You can't go wrong with polka dots (at least I can't).
This design is too simple to even tell you how to do it. All you need is three (or how ever many you want -- go as crazy as you feel need be) nail polish colors, a dotting tool (very cheap at Wal-Mart, Sally Beauty Supply, or online) or you can always use the head of a bobby-pin. Basically anything you can use to make tiny dots.
The colors I used were:
Blue - Day Glow Teal by Colorshow
Pink - Lincoln Square Lavender (isn't lavender purple?!)  by NYC
Green - Lime Accent by Colorshow
Topcoat - Hardware Quick Topcoat by Butter London
You can expect posts like these along with beauty related things and just things in general :):)
